M105 Starter

M105R is a range of Prestolite Electric starters designed for «Heavy Duty» applications providing 7.5kW of starting power. Starters of this series have a planetary reduction gear, an additional relay for unloading the “ignition switch” at the moment of starting, a housing made of durable aluminum alloy, a protective plastic cover for the Bendix relay, a reinforced Bendix gear with 12 teeth. In order to compensate for the increased number of teeth of the Bendix gear and the intercenter distance of the «flywheel crown — Bendix gear» gearing, the front cover of the starter is made with an offset mounting axis.

By mounting dimensions and mounting holes, the starter is intended for use on Belarus tractors with six-cylinder engines D-260 / D -262 produced by the Minsk Motor Plant.

M105R starters are manufactured for internal combustion engines and equipment with a 24V power supply system. They are designed for engines with a displacement of up to 2.0 liters per cylinder.

Since 2009, M105R3028SE starters have been supplied to the assembly line of the Minsk Tractor Plant and their long-term operation on MTZ equipment has shown high operational efficiency and reliability of products of this series.

Starters are certified for compliance with the requirements of TR TS 018/2011 «On the safety of wheeled vehicles».
