HM95 Starter

HM95R is a series of Prestolite Electric heavy-duty starters with a planetary reduction gear, providing a starting power of 5.5 to 6.5 kW. These starters are equipped with an additional relay to relieve the «ignition switch» when starting. The mounting flange is unified by fixing holes, which allows their application on all modifications of the six-cylinder engines of Minsk Motor Plant.

HM95R starters are manufactured for combustion engines with both 12V and 24V power supply systems. The starter version for 12V on-board power supply (model HM95R2005SE) is designed for engines with a displacement of up to 10 liters and not exceeding 1.7 liters per cylinder. Model HM95R3005SE is designed for engines with 24V on-board electrical system and a displacement of up to 12 liters and not exceeding 2 liters per cylinder.

Starters are specifically designed for use in MTZ, AMKODOR, MAZ, Slobozhanets equipment with six-cylinder engines type D-260/-262/-263 manufactured by Minsk Motor Plant.

Starters of this series have successfully passed a full range of bench and life tests. Two-year operational tests, which were supervised by specialists from MTZ and AMKODOR, showed high operational efficiency and reliability of starters of this series.

Starters are certified for compliance with the requirements of TR TS 018/2011 «On the safety of wheeled vehicles».

The main conveyor consumers of starters of this series are the Minsk Tractor Plant, as well as the Minsk Motor Plant, which supplies six-cylinder engines for AMKODOR, MAZ equipment and Slobozhanets tractors.
