AAN Alternators

AAN alternators from Mahle Electric Drives are a series of generators with a wide range of applications on engines, vehicles and equipment to provide power to devices and systems that consume electricity, and to charge batteries in a timely manner. 3-phase synchronous alternators with 6 pairs of poles of the AAN series with air or liquid cooling, equipped with a microelectronic monofunctional regulator and an integrated diode bridge with Zener power diodes (stabilizing diodes). The voltage regulator can be integrated or separately installed. The excitation of the rotor windings occurs by electric current supplied through slip rings and metal-graphite brushes. Metal-graphite brushes and the highest quality copper slip rings guarantee a long service life of the alternator

Stator diameter for AAN series alternator models ranges from 142mm to 149mm.

Available in 14V (current up to 200A) and 28V (current up to 150A).

Alternator AAN 8167 (28V, 100A) is used in the engines of the Minsk Motor Plant. On the basis of AAN 8167, the AAN 8171 model is also manufactured, which, in comparison with AAN 8167, is equipped with a pulley mounted on the alternator shaft for a V-belt and a protective net.

AAN 8167 / AAN 8171 alternators are installed on MMZ engines, which are used on Belarus tractors, Amkodor loaders, MAZ trucks, Gomselmash combines, Niva Effect «Rostselmash» combines with D-260 engines, Don-1500 combines with D-262t engine. AAN8171 alternators are also installed on six-cylinder in-line diesel engines Deutz BF6M1013C with a capacity of 7.14 liters, used on tractors Deutz-Fahr Agroton, Lamborghini 230, Bumar-Fadroma LK4 tunnel trucks, Fendt 5220 harvesters, etc.

AAN 8166 (14V, 150A) alternator is designed to supply power to on-board 12-volt vehicle consumers. It has a high current output of 150 A and is installed in agricultural and construction machines with a higher power requirement. Double insulated copper wire winding with G2 heat resistance class over 200 °C, special sealed roller bearings for heavily loaded pulleys, increased brush life ensure long-term operation of the alternator in any operating conditions.

Models AAN 8168 (with additional protection grid) and AAN 8169 (with additional protection grid and V-belt pulley) have been adapted for serial application on MMZ diesel engines

The alternators are also used on tractors Terrion, Valtra: installed on 6-cylinder diesel engines: Sisu 634DSA, Sisu 620DS which are used on tractors, John Deere 6068TL; installed on John Deere 6920 loaders and bulldozers, on agricultural and construction equipment with engines Deutz 2012 LO6 2V, Deutz BF6M2012C, John Deere 4045T, Deutz BF4M2012C.

Model AAN 5810 (14V, 200A) is designed for use on machines with engines D-260 of Stage 3B and Stage 4 environmental standards. They are used on tractors Belarus-1221.5 / 1221.6 / 1523.6 / 2122.6.
